Southwest Restoration & Design, Inc., can design your new shower many different ways -- using cultured marble, tru stone and tile.  When doing your shower with cultured marble and tru stone, we also have the shower pan made up with the same material.  If you are having your shower done up with tile, we custom build a shower pan and generally tile it with a 2” mosaic tile.  It should be noted, that we water proof the shower walls and shower pan area for greater protection....  

Several tips to remember during the construction of your shower and after your shower has been completed...  

1. When selecting tile, look for porcelain tile and one that has a glaze and is smooth and not pitted, this makes it much easier to keep clean.

2. In selecting the type of glass to use for the shower enclosure.  If your shower was done with culture marble it does not mater if you use clear glass, obscure or other types of glass.  On the other hand, if your shower was finished off with tile you really want to see the beauty of it not only while taking a shower, but when you are in the bathroom, so therefore I suggest a clear glass.

3. It is my recommendation, when ordering your glass I would advise having Enduro shield or Cardinal Armor applied to the inside glass. This helps in keeping it free of water spots and soap scum -- maintaining the new look for years.
